Sita lifting the bow of Shiva
There was such a bow in Mithila that till date no one had the courage and strength to lift it. The name of that bow was Pinaka. This was the bow of Lord Shiva. The place where King Janak used to worship his God was kept there. The bow was placed where King Janak used to worship his god. King Janak used to worship this bow every day. In this context, two types of stories are told, I would like to show both of them in this.
Janaki temple bow affair |
First story
It is a matter of one day that Sita was playing hide and seek with
some friends in the palace, at that time Shiva Dhanush fell down touching Sita.
Sita was very scared and picked it up and put that bow on the table. Keeping
this, King Janak saw it.
Second story
According to this story, Sita is asked to go and clean the house of
God. In the same sequence, there was a lot of dirty dust on the bottom of the
bow, that is, on which the bow was kept, so Sita thought that I would clean it
even more. At the same time King Janak ji was passing by, then King Janak ji
saw that Sita was lifting the bow and placing it in another place. And there
she is cleaning again and again raised that bow and kept it there.
The second story is more influential than the first because we hear
this second story from the elders in childhood. The first story is seen in more
TV serials or movies.
They think she is a divine girl. Seeing all this, King Janak becomes very emotional and takes a vow that he will marry his daughter Sita to the one who comes tothe bow of Shiva. It is believed that Sita was only 5 years old when she first lifted the Shiva Dhanush.
Bow introduction
It is believed that only Vishnu and Lakshmi ji could lift this bow
because no one had enough power and strength to move it. As you know, this bow
was received from Parashuram ji, and this bow to the people of the king,
Parashuram ji is also considered an incarnation of Vishnu. Shiva had built it
to destroy the Asuras and Parasram ji did severe penance or obtained the bow
from Shivaji.
