Reasons to play Sama Chakewa
Sama Chakeva was the daughter and son of Lord Krishna. Daughter Sama was fickle in nature and a woman who mingled with everyone. Some people in society used to look at Sama in a wrong way. A man named Chugla wrongly instigates Sama's father, Krishna, with a misconception about Sama and proves Sama to be characterless. Then Shri Krishna cursed his daughter to be a bird and said you keep roaming like this now. When Shri Krishna cursed Sama, his brother Chakeva was not with him and he came to know about this when he came to his house to get an education. Then he became determined to protect her. After some time, Shri Krishna learns that he has been wrongly scolded for his slander. Then Chakeva did research on this and brought out the truth, so now that he had read alcohol, Shri Krishna gave him freedom. Then Shri Krishna went out with Chakeva to search for Sama when he was found with Hans in Mithila. Hans who was the husband of Sama loved Sama very much and he too became a bird. This festival Sama did not give Chakeva the job of being good. By the way, every sister celebrates this festival of Sama Chakeva for the good health and age of her brother. Sama had found salvation in Mithila from the curse of Krishna, due to which this festival is celebrated in Mithila.
