History of Mithila
History of the Vedic Period
From
the Rann of Kachh, a Guru along with his disciple set out to find a piece of
land where the place should be such that it is a place more beautiful than
heaven and the earth is so fertile that there is no possibility of famine. Guru Gautam Rahugan and their disciple Mathava Vidhegh first reached Prayagraj on this journey. Went to Banaras from here and reached there the Sadanira river near
Banaras. This river is known in Nepal as the river of Gandaki which originates from
Nepal and goes towards India. They crossed the river and came to the place
they were looking for. And that beautiful place like heaven was named Videya.
Challenges
Before
the arrival of these two, it was a belief that if someone crossed this river
then he would become extinct and would not come back many such things were
happening and there was a belief. By crossing the river, he found the kingdom of
Videya. And faced many incidents and challenges in establishing Videdya Raj.
Many people had spread this rumor that they would not come back and would be
killed, no one wanted to go to that state after hearing that they would become
extinct and had to face many difficulties in explaining it. Sage Gautam Rahu
Gan called three great pundits and offered worship, havan, and sacrifice there. He
was planning how to explain to all those people that by going here you all will
not be lost nor will you fall. And in the end, he thought that Sage Gautam Rahu
Gan called three great pundits and offered worship, havan, and sacrifice there.
Because of all this, she became purer and more beautiful than heaven. The earth's fertility has increased so much that no one even imagined it.
Mithila |
Tirhut
Mithila
is also known as Tirhotya Bhoomi and Tirhut Khand. Hota means the knower of the
four Vedas. Three people had come that's why this land became Tirahotya Bhoomi.
Tirhotya became Tirhut after being Apabhramsa.
Great personality in his lineage
In
the lineage of Mathava Vidhegh, there were kings. He died prematurely and till
his premature death, he did not get any child. After research, the sage gave
birth to a newborn baby from the dead body of the king. This newborn baby was
obtained by churning a lot, so that is why he was named Mithi Para and it was
born from the body of his father, that is why he was given the title of Janak
and his full name was Mithi Janak. Janaka means to produce. This state was at
its peak of development during the time of King Mithi. Keeping in mind his
valor and valor, his subjects and servants gave a new name to this state Mithila because they all did not want to forget this king and wanted him to be
remembered forever. And all the kings who ruled Mithila from the time of King
Methi got the title of Janak. And in this dynasty, a king also ruled, whose name
was Sirdhwaj Janak. There was a famine in Mithila during the time of this king,
that too due to a curse. After much churning, its solution was found and King
Janak had to plow the earth with a golden plow and Janaki Ji was incarnated
i.e. Goddess Lakshmi was incarnated as Sita.
Conclusion
All
this, in a nutshell, is the history of the Vedic period of Mithila. Share this
history so much, and spread it so that everyone will understand what Mithila is. If
you do not know Hindi then you can study in English also. To date, I have not
said in any of my articles that you should share, but I am saying this because
it is a matter of pride for Mithila.
Those
who are understanding that I am not in Mithila, I am in the Bhojpuri area or I am
in Himali and hilly area, should understand that all this one day was
the land of Mithila. All this happened over some time and I believe that
there was not only Mithila culture in the whole of Mithila, but it had a
different culture according to the place, there can be a Mithila state. What do
you think about this, let us know by commenting.
